Presence in AI search

More and more people ask instead of searching.

When someone asks ChatGPT or Gemini for a company in your industry, the answer names a few. Our job is to make sure yours is one of them.

Search stopped being a list.

For twenty years, searching for something online meant getting ten links and picking one. Today, a growing share of people type in the whole question and get a ready-made answer — with two or three companies cited, and nothing else.

The difference is huge. In a list of links, ranking fifth still brought visits. In a generated answer, either your company is cited or it doesn't exist in that conversation.

The concept

What is presence in AI search?

It's the work of getting your company cited in answers generated by artificial intelligence.

AI tools don't make up the companies they cite: they read the internet and pick sources they can understand and trust. In other words, you can work at being chosen — just as you've always been able to work at showing up on Google, only with different rules.

In the industry, this work is called GEO, short for Generative Engine Optimization. It doesn't replace traditional SEO — it adds to it, and both engines keep running at the same time.

It's not the same as SEO

What's compared Traditional search AI search
What you compete for A position in a list Being cited in the answer
What people see Ten links One answer with a few sources
How you win Page relevance and authority Clarity, structure, and consistency of information
How it's measured Rankings and visits How often the brand gets cited
Who's already doing it Practically everyone Still very few people

The two coexist, and we do both. But they require different work — and the second is still rare enough to become an advantage for those who start now.

What we do

The work, in practice

Make the platform machine-readable

A platform can look great to people and confusing to a program. OneRank tags every piece of information with its meaning — what's an address, what's a service, what's a question and answer — so the machine understands without guessing. This happens automatically on every page.

Write content in answer format

Text that opens with the answer and then explains is far more likely to be cited than text that builds its reasoning toward the end. The platform provides the structure — each question becomes its own page. Writing in that format is our team's job, not the software's.

Keep information consistent

Name, address, phone number, and description live in a single record that feeds the platform, the structured data, and the AI file all at once — there's no way for the footer to say one thing and the machine to read another. Aligning this with your Google Business Profile and social media is a step in our process, done by people.

Leave instructions for AI models

The platform publishes a plain-text guidance file for AI tools, explaining what the company does and what matters most there. It's still a recent practice, and most websites don't have one yet. You can see this page's file right below, live.

Announce content changes

Instead of just waiting to be found, the platform periodically submits changed pages to the search engines that accept this kind of notice, and publishes a feed that crawlers follow. Google doesn't use this protocol — for Google, the sitemap is still the way in.

Review the citations

We ask AI tools questions about your industry and record when your company shows up. That goes into your report. It's a periodic check done by people — not an automated monitor inside the admin panel.

How this platform does it

The two files behind the answer.

The text an AI reads and the data a search engine structures — both come from this page, right now, live.

Proof, not promises

Test it yourself in under 2 minutes.

  1. Open this platform's /llms-full.txt (the full content, not just the index)
  2. Paste the content into an AI you trust (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude)
  3. Ask: "What plans does this company offer, and how much do they cost?"
  4. Compare the answer with the /planos page — real and live

If the AI got it right, that's llms.txt at work. If it got it wrong or said it doesn't know, that's because it hasn't read this platform yet — normal for new content, and outside any provider's control.

How to tell if it's working

Two things can be measured: how often your company is cited, and how many visits come from these tools.

We regularly ask AI tools about your industry and your region, and record when your company appears in the answer. Your reports show how that evolves over the months.

What doesn't exist here is a "position." There's no first place to win, because there's no list — the answer is generated on the spot and changes with the question. That's why the measure is how often you're cited, not where you rank.

What we don't promise

No one controls what an artificial intelligence answers. Anyone who guarantees your company will be cited is selling something they can't deliver.

What we do is the work that improves the odds: the right structure, consistent information, content in a format machines can use, and keeping track of what happens. It's the same logic as SEO — no one can buy the top spot on Google, but you can work your way there.

It's not immediate, either. The tools need to crawl, understand, and come to trust the platform. That takes months, not days.

Who needs this

It's worth the most for businesses people already ask about.

If your customers would already ask an AI this kind of question — "what's the best X clinic in my city," "how much does Y cost," "who does Z near me" — presence in AI search is the difference between the answer citing your company or citing a competitor.

It's most decisive for local services, healthcare, independent professionals, and retail where people research before buying — less urgent for those who sell through direct referrals or recurring contracts that are already signed.

Which plan includes this

The foundation — a platform with machine-readable structure, structured data, and consistent information — is in every plan, because it's a fundamental, not an extra.

The dedicated work on presence in AI answers — the guidance file for AI models, structured data for your business segment, content designed to be cited, and a periodic review of AI citations — is part of the Autoridade plan.

Frequently asked questions

No. The two coexist, and most visits still come from traditional search. Presence in AI answers is a new channel that still has little competition — which is why it pays to get in now, without giving up the SEO work that's already being done. Open this answer

No, and anyone who guarantees it is promising something they don't control — the answer is generated on the spot by the model, and it changes depending on the question. What can be done is the work that improves the odds: correct structure, consistent information, content in a format machines can use. And measuring what happens afterward. Open this answer

It does — and sometimes even better. AI tools favor clear, consistent information, not the size of your budget. A small company with well-structured data can be cited ahead of a large, disorganized competitor. Open this answer

It's a periodic check done by people, not an automated monitor — and the metric is how often you're cited, because a generated answer has no "position". Open this answer
